It's social action. It's spiritual renewal. It's in the summer. It's Opus!
In the spirit of strengthening our young adult community--and having some serious UU fun--join us in Kankakee, Illinois for four days of camping and reconnecting as we celebrate the return of this amazing event!
Opus is the annual spiritual retreat of the Continental Unitarian Universalist Young Adult Network. We are an intentional community of seekers exploring liberal religion, social justice and diversity.This year, we will explore and honor our roots--as a religious community, a young adult network and as individuals. We will also find ways to spread our wings and move into the future as a movement of inspired and empowered citizens of the world.
Workshops will involve artistic exercises, philosophical discussions, environmental action and spritual reflection, but to make the most of our time together, we want to hear from you! Please submit any workshop ideas to: opus2010workshops@gmail.com
We want to share a respectful, transparent environment where everyone between 18 and 35 years old are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
Our rustic venue may create accessibility issues for otherwise-abled persons, but we will work to accommodate all needs as best we can.Tents are welcome, but not required. A rope course($10) and zip line($5) are available for a extra fee.
Register and PAY at http://connectuu.com/ From June 1 to August 2, registration will cost $195. Payment must be recieved before OPUS begins. There is no onsite payment.Last minute registration (August 2-3) will be $250.

We will not be able to accommodate walk-ons! If you arrive without registering beforehand, we will be forced to turn you away. : ( (Don't make us do that! We will cry!!)
Opus is the annual continental Unitarian Universalist retreat for young adults (ages 18-35). This year it being organized and hosted by the Central Midwest District Young Adult Steering Committee.
